Tempe's bulk pickup comes six times a year — and needs two piles, four feet apart
Tempe collects bulk trash and green organics every other month by area (the city is split into Areas A–H). Set-out rules are specific: everything out by 6 a.m. Monday of your week, no earlier than ten days before, bulk and green waste in two separate piles four feet apart, capped at 10 cubic yards total. The city won't take Freon appliances, tires, mirrors or glass, dirt/rock/concrete, or construction and remodeling debris — drywall, lumber, carpet, roofing. Tempe residents can self-haul up to 1,000 lbs a month free at the Sky Harbor transfer station, if you've got the truck. Between collections, or for the things the city won't touch, that's where we come in — and for move-outs on a lease deadline, "every other month" isn't a schedule anyone can wait for.
With ASU and a large rental population, a lot of Tempe hauling is move-out work on a deadline. We've done last-minute move-outs; tell us the date and we'll tell you honestly if we can hit it.
